Mutation: Kurt possesses extensive physiological mutations, including dark blue skin with a covering of short, dense, almost velvet-like fur, three elongated fingers and toes on his feet, glowing yellow eyes and pronounced canine teeth. Furthermore, he possesses a one-meter long tail which is prehensile and capable of supporting his own weight and even, briefly, the weight of another person, as long as they are not too large. His feet are just as prehensile and capable of grasping and manipulating objects as his hands. His reaction time is about 2-3 times that of an average human and he possesses astonishing flexibility, agility and a limited ability to adhere to walls and ceilings. When moving on all fours, Kurt is capable of running at about 45 mph, although he cannot maintain that speed for more than five minutes at a time- he can comfortably maintain a little over half that speed for quite some time. More dramatic is Kurt's ability to teleport, somehow opening a portal between two points in space using an alternate dimension. The characteristic 'BAMF!' sound of his teleportation and the faint scent of brimstone that follows are the effects of entering and existing this alternate dimension. His teleportational range is limited to 2-3 miles in any direction, and further limited by his need to know where he is going. His spatial sense is mildly superhuman, but he is still hesitant to teleport anywhere he does not know, as a mistake could result in his maiming or death. He is capable of taking other people with him, although any more than one passenger is a huge strain on him, and also, a strain for passengers. Repeated teleportation is exhausting for Kurt and disorienting to others- in fact, more than 2-3 successive teleportations in a short time can briefly render individuals unconscious. It is important to note that momentum is not greatly affected by teleportation, which is both an asset and a weakness. Kurt's range of teleportation is quite hard-coded, but he has become much more adept at teleporting rapidly in succession and can, in a pinch, take two passengers in a leap. Skills/Abilities: Kurt is a fantastically gifted athlete and is in peak condition, capable of performing acrobatic feats that would be utterly impossible to any normal human, and difficult even for many mutants with enhanced agility. In addition to acrobatics, he is also a gifted fencer and has the standard martial arts training given to all students at the school, paired of course, with his superhuman dexterity, reaction time and teleportation abilities. Generally, however, he prefers putting on impromptu displays of his athletic prowess for the entertainment of friends than combat. In addition to his athletic talents, Kurt is also adept reader and a deep thinker with considerable acting abilities. He can speak both German and English fluently and reads extensively in both languages. Squad Strengths and Weaknesses: Kurt is generally level-headed and rational in the field and rarely if ever loses his cool. A highly capable hand-to-hand combatant if much be, he is also ideally placed to provide support of various forms to his teammates. Kurt has some leadership ability, which he has exercised from time to time but generally prefers to allow others who desire it more to occupy the position. Although he is quite capable of avoiding physical injury, ultimately, Kurt is not significantly stronger or tougher than anyone else on the team, and is quite vulnerable in the face of powerful foes. An eternal showman, this quality could be seen as either a strength or a weakness- on one hand, it may boost confidence and certainly demonstrates his skills, but on the other hand, he may be inclined to occasionally take dangerous risks. Personality, Updated: Kurt is generally friendly and exuberant. He has good humour and likes the occasional joke, practical or otherwise. A born showman, he loves to show off his skills, both athletic and dramatic, but also enjoys it when others share their talents with him. He is also gentle in nature and intensely loyal to his friends and will do anything for them. Although known largely as a friendly showman, Kurt has a more serious side as well. Although he has drifted considerably from the Church, he retains elements of a religious worldview and is a deep thinker, who often ponders human nature. He wants devoutly to do his part in order to make the world a better and more entertaining place. History: Kurt Wagner was abandoned practically at birth, his mother, Raven Darkholme being pursued by East German Stasi agents looking to snuff out one of West Germany's most valuable spies. Thankfully, Kurt was taken in by a loving family who worked in a small travelling circus. Kurt's impressive acrobatic abilities soon became clear as the troupe toured the villages and small cities of Southern Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It was not long before Kurt emerged as the clear star of the show, the combination of what was thought to be a most unusual costume and his incredible agility impressing audiences. Unfortunately, his adopted brother, Stefan, was jealous of his talent and foolishly attempted to perform Kurt's routine. Tragically, he was unable to do so, as his body was not physiologically adapted for dexterity as Kurt's was. His death caused Kurt great pain, as he held himself responsible both for creating the deadly jealousy in his brother and failing to rescue him. Westchester History: It was at that point that Kurt was approached by Charles Xavier and enrolled at Muir Island, which he attended briefly before the new school opened at Westchester. Kurt's stay at the school was initially very happy and he soon started dating a fellow student at the school, Tessa Sage. The relationship lasted for about six months before Tessa was offered an opportunity to study physics at Cambridge University in England. Kurt was rather depressed about the breakup for some time before recovering, and discovering that he and Jean Grey had a mutual attraction towards each other. The second relationship was painfully brief however, as Kurt's world was turned upside down by the cruel intervention of the Hellfire Club. Both Jean and Tessa were manipulated by the Club, and several of his friends were injured in their attacks. Horrified and unable to cope with the aftermath, Kurt took an extended trip to Germany, where he slowly came to terms with himself. Eventually, Kurt returned with a much more positive outlook on life and a desire to pick up his life and move forward. Soon, Kurt had become one of the best-liked residents of Westchester and a reliable friend and teammate. Eventually, he was even called upon to lead- something he gladly did to assist, but not something he had a great natural desire to do. Kurt, ever the romantic, could not go forever without finding a new lady love, and soon, he found himself happily courting Wanda Maximova. Year-Jump History: Kurt has had a bit of a rollercoaster of a year, with both his and Wanda's lengthy absences making him and Wanda choose to put their relationship temporarily on hold and with some of his dearest friends stricken with MDV. However, Kurt has maintained his hopeful and optimistic attitude and has done great service with his teammates. In September, after mutual absences, he and Wanda both found themselves back at school and promptly rekindled their relationship- starting quite happily where they had left off. He also was allowed to go into the Dramatic Arts program at Columbia, on the condition that he wear an image inducer- something that bothers him considerably but that he is willing to endure in order to become educated. Appearance and Presentation: Kurt is of roughly average height, although he may appear slightly taller due to his fairly long limbs and wiry frame. His appearance is unmistakable, with dark blue fuzz covering his entire body, glowing blue eyes, oversized fingers and toes (and three on each hand/foot), sharp fangs and a meter-long prehensile tail. Relationships Past: Each Significant Character Scott: Kurt respects Scott enormously and the two get along, although they are not exceptionally close. Piotr: A very good friend of his.
